We tend to remember David with a slingshot in his hand. His full story is a little more complicated.
This week, Jeff and Chris walk through the life of King David: shepherd, giant killer, fugitive, king, worshiper - and a man whose choices caused tremendous harm. Why does the Bible include the ugly parts of its heroes’ lives? And what does being “a man after God’s own heart” actually mean?
With plenty of back-and-forth along the way, they explore the waiting years, the dangers of unchecked power, and David’s response when he’s confronted with his sin. It’s an honest conversation about repentance, consequences, and a faithful God who works through broken people.
